On the 25th January the boys attended the Loch Nyora Pony Club short course competition, both boys placed 4th--Ben riding Angel in the Grade 4 and Jacob riding Tory in the Grade 5.

Our next competition was on the 30th November at Cranbourne Pony Club. A showjumping competition where Ben rode Truly for the first time since her accident and was awarded Champion E grade for his efforts. Jacob and Nugget also won their show jumping round.

On the 25th November Jacob competed on Nugget at the VEC Interschool Primary challenge where he was the overall winner, winning 3 out of his 4 classes and placing 2nd in the 4th class.

The Boys attended their first Grade 4 event at Oaklands PC where after the dressage and showjumping, Jacob was coming 4th and Ben 7th but both boys had a refusal on the Cross Country so missed out on a place. Better Luck next time!

Their next event was at Warragul PC Showjumping Day where Ben placed 2nd & 3rd and Jacob placed 3rd & 4th. They followed this up with a showjumping day at Tonimbuk where Jacon placed 1st on his new horse Tory and 3rd on Nugget and Ben placed 2nd on his new horse Angel. Nugget did a round at 90cms where he went clear and received the biggest applause for the day for being such a little pony and outjumping the bigger horses.

ST MARGARETS INTERSCHOOL COMP Sept 14th - Ben placed 5th & 6th at this comp while Jacob placed 1st, 2 x 2nd & 3rd with his team placing 3rd overall and Jacob winning year level.
The next day at another interschool comp at Yarra Junction the boys decided to do the bigger height and they were huge. It was all a bit much for poor little Nougat but Truly loved it and she placed 2nd and 4th and was 4th place overall.

Our next comp was at Ayre Hill, another interschool comp on the 26th Sept. Ben competed D grad on Truly and got a 4th. We were very pleased with this placing as it was her first D grade comp and she finished all three rounds.

Ben also competed at this comp on his new horse Tory in the Freshmans and got  a 4th. Jacob competed E grade and got a 1st and a 3rd and Champion for his section.

The next day we went to Werribee for the Werribee PC Horse Trials. Jacob came 2nd and Ben was 7th in the grade 5 section. They have both decided to go grade 4 for the next comp as they think grade 5 is too small.
The boys are keeping us very busy now but we are enjoying watching them have so much fun.

Jacob and Nugget  -  1st Dressage  2nd Combined Training
Ben and Truly  -    5th in both Dressage and Combined Training. This was Trulys first event and she found the judges car very scarey but soldiered on.

CASEY GRAMMAR INTERSCHOOL SHOWJUMPING
Ben received a 4th and two 5ths and Reserve E Grade
Jacob placed 5th

MORNINGTON MINI HORSE TRIALS
This was the boys first ever Horse trials a team event in which they placed 3rd.

Ben received two 1sts and 2nd and was Runner Up Individual Overall.  Jake received two 1sts and a 3rd and was 3rd Individual Overall
